“Summer Walk” 2006
One of the most beautiful places to walk is the Western Campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It was my inspiration for “Summer Walk”.
I was fascinated by the way the shadows and sunlight played among the pine trees and lay across the stone bridge.
I wanted this painting to capture the feeling of that summer day and create a sense of depth that invites you to explore the distant woods.
“Summer Walk” was designed as a sister to “Hiding in the Western Woods.”
It is acrylic on canvas board.
